Privacy Policy

Last updated 2 July 2026

This policy explains what personal data QS Quoter collects, why, and your rights over it. We keep it plain, and we keep the amount of data we hold small.

In one line We hold the details you give us to run your account and produce your quotes. We do not sell your data, and we never use it to train our own models. We only share it with the processors that make the service work (payments, network delivery, drawing reading).

1Who is responsible

AGMM, Manchester, United Kingdom, is the data controller for QS Quoter. Contact us at [email protected] about anything in this policy, including a request to see or delete your data.

We do not run third-party advertising trackers, and QS Quoter uses only the cookie needed to keep you signed in.

3Drawings you upload

When you use the drawing-reading feature, page images are sent to third-party AI vision providers to read and measure the work. Nothing detected is applied to your quote automatically: every figure is shown for you to confirm or reject first. We do not sell your drawings and we do not use them to train our own models. Because the images are read by external AI providers, we cannot guarantee that every provider excludes them from its own model training; we do not knowingly permit it and are reviewing our providers' terms to prevent it.

4Who we share it with

We use a small number of trusted processors, each only for what the service needs:

We do not sell your personal data to anyone. We will disclose data only where the law requires it.

5How long we keep it

We keep your account and quote data for as long as your account is open, so your history is there when you need it. If you close your account we delete or anonymise your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must keep certain records (for example billing records for tax purposes).

6Where it is held

Your account and quote data is held on infrastructure we operate in the United Kingdom, protected in transit by TLS. Some processors (for example payments and drawing reading) may process limited data outside the UK; where that happens it is protected by appropriate safeguards as required by UK data protection law.

7How we protect it

Passwords are stored only as a salted hash, never in the clear. Sign-in sessions are held as hashed tokens. Access to your data is scoped to your own account. We use HTTPS in production and keep the software patched. No system is perfectly secure, but we take the security of your data seriously.

8Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, or restrict how we use it, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interests. Email [email protected] and we will respond within the time the law allows. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk), though we would rather you told us first so we can put it right.

9Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above and, for a material change, make it visible in the app or by email.
